Helmer says Bayern Munich won't be tested by Arsenal

Former Bayern Munich captain Thomas Helmer says Arsenal will prove no threat in their Champions League showdown.

Former Bayern Munich captain Thomas Helmer says Arsenal will prove no threat in their Champions League showdown.

After missing out in last year’s final to Chelsea, Helmer has tipped his old team to win BOTH legs against Arsene Wenger’s side, who were sensationally knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Blackburn yesterday.

He said: “That should not be a problem. Arsenal always play well but they are never dangerous.

“I would not be surprised if Bayern not only win their home tie but also the away game in London.

“You have to say Bayern are playing well in every competition.

“The coach is doing everything right, the mood in the team is superb and they have no injuries.”
