Hellas Verona want to bring Aston Villa outcast Philippe Senderos back to Italy.
Senderos has been told to find a new club by Villa boss Remi Garde after he wasn't registered this season in the Premier League.
Verona hope to bring Senderos back to Serie A, where he had a previous spell with AC Milan.
Senderos has stated in recent days he'd be open to a return home to Switzerland.
"Maybe the Swiss Super League is the ideal solution for me. I'll try anything as I want to play matches again.
"I know I still have several good years ahead of me. I've not been able to do what I enjoy the most, I miss the pleasure of battles on the pitch, and it is frustrating."
