Heidar Helguson is set to sign a new deal with QPR.
The Daily Mail says Helguson is in line for a contract extension after impressing manager Neil Warnock.
The Iceland forward is the newly-promoted club's top scorer this season with six goals.
His current deal expires at the end of this season but Warnock is ready to reward the 34-year-old with an improved 12-month contract.
The former Fulham and Watford player's deal is worth around £13,000 a week. Helguson equalled Les Ferdinand's QPR record of scoring in four consecutive Premier League games in the 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion last Saturday.
