Helguson leaving Cardiff

Heidar Helguson has decided to leave Cardiff City after their Premier League promotion.

The Cardiff striker, 35, is out of contract next month and will not renew terms with the Premier League new boys.

Helguson, who also played for QPR, Fulham, Watford and Bolton, bagged nine goals this season.

Boss Malky Mackay said: "Heidar is semi- retiring back to Iceland. He's been huge for us."
