Hejduk upbeat over Columbus Crew start

Defending champions Columbus Crew are not concerned with only getting a draw away from home in their first game against Houston. US Men's International and Columbus Crew defender Frankie Hejduk is optimistic that the signs are right for his team.

Speaking after the game Hejduk said: "For their first game, both teams played good soccer. In the first half, I thought we knocked the ball around, got aggressive, went after them, and then both teams were just playing really hard.

"In the second half, they got themselves a goal, but in typical Crew fashion we never gave up, battled hard, and never gave up until the end. Just like last year, Guillermo scored a great goal and it has been a theme for this team to not give up and take the blows. It's great to know that we are doing the same great things we did last year."
