Johnny Heitinga is still some way from agreeing new terms with Everton.

The Liverpool Echo says talks between the World Cup finalist and the Toffees have been ongoing for months, and although positive are not yet near conclusion.

Heitinga also refused to rule out ending his career with former club Ajax in Holland.
