Real Madrid defender Gabriel Heinze admits he's always talking to former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo about joining him in Spain.

"I talk to with Cristiano all the time and tell him how great this club is," he said in the Daily Star on Sunday. "I would love to play alongside him again.

"I don't think he would have any problem adapting to any team in the world. I don't think Cristiano will get any better as a footballer, he is already next to God in his ability.

"He's a kid who is already spoken highly about all the time in Madrid. If I had to pay for one player I would choose Cristiano. In Madrid we would welcome him with open arms."
