Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sacked defender Gaby Heinze's as the club's No4.
New midfield signing Owen Hargreaves has been handed want-away Heinze's No4 shirt for the new season.
Heinze's bid for a move to Liverpool goes to a Premier League panel this week.
