West Ham United face competition for Heerenveen striker Bas Dost.

The Daily Mail says Everton have already made contact with the club and player while Wolfsburg offered £6.5million. West Ham are willing to bid £7m but Heerenveen are now asking £12m.

The 22-year-old is 6ft 4ins and finished as the Eredivisie's top scorer with 32 league goals. Heerenveen have a habit of finding good strikers but they don't always prosper when they leave. The asking price may see English clubs drop out of the race.
