Holland side Heerenveen have turned down an approach from Man Utd to groom young players signed from South America, but would consider a possible deal in the future. "At the moment we are not interested," General director Yme Kuiper told Leewarder Courant.
"There are rules in the Netherlands and we are committed to that and provisionally we want to find our own way on the South American market.
"If we come to an agreement with Manchester United to get players on loan, how would that be worked out concretely?
"For example could a player be called back at any moment, and will we get a share of the profit if a player is sold?
"In the close future that could well lead to something. It certainly is an interesting development."
