FC Dallas have confirmed that Matt Hedges has signed a multi-year deal with the club.
The 23-year old defender, who has been with the Texan outfit since 2012, has put pen to a long-term extension which has technical director Fernando Clavijo excited about the future.
"There has been an ongoing negotiation to extend our agreement with Matt Hedges since the end of the 2013 season," Clavijo said in a club statement.
"Matt has been better than anyone could have expected when we drafted him and his quality has really shown. We felt it was in the best interest of the club to extend his contract, and we were able to come to an agreement last week."
Hedges came to Dallas from Reading United via the 2012 MLS SuperDraft and has since made 65 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops.
