Hearts striker Beattie unsure over next goal celebrations

Hearts striker Craig Beattie will simply react to the moment at Scottish Cup final, should he net against rivals Hibernian at Hampden.

Hearts striker Craig Beattie will simply react to the moment at Scottish Cup final, should he net against rivals Hibernian at Hampden.

A last-gasp penalty to beat former club Celtic 2-1 at the national stadium last month saw Beattie ensured YouTube immortality by stripping off his maroon jersey and going for a crazed run behind the goal to the delight of the ecstatic Gorgie fans.

"I was out with my wife getting the groceries and got a bit of stick in Marks and Spencers off some old dear who was a Celtic fan," said Beattie.

"She told me to keep my top on the next time I scored.

"But it was obviously a last-minute penalty kick at Hampden to put myself and my team mates into the Scottish Cup final.

"It was just spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment stuff and I enjoyed it with the rest of the Hearts fans.

"But I have nothing planned for Saturday. I am not lucky enough to be planning things like that. If I manage to get a goal then fantastic."
