He insists he still has NO regrets about his decision to swap Rangers for Merseyside three years ago.
Wilson said: "It did not work out for me down there but that happens in football.
"Better players than me have done that. There is no shame in it.
"It is a bit demoralising when you train all week and then you don't play. It's not something I ever want to go through again.
"I feel I owed Hearts some loyalty as they showed faith in me to bring me here and put me straight in the team."
