Hearts midfielder Stevenson joins Ipswich

Heart of Midlothian midfielder Ryan Stevenson has joined Championship club Ipswich Town.

The 27-year old became dismayed at the current financial situation of the Edinburgh club and was desperate to leave this winter.

He has now got his wish after a deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £50,000 was agreed between the two clubs.

Stevenson admitted his delight at heading to Portman Road where he could make his debut for the Tractor Boys when West Ham United come to town tomorrow night.
