Out of contract Motherwell striker Chris Porter is the subject of interest from SPL rivals Hearts, reports The Scotsman. An official request has been made to Motherwell to speak to the striker who is out of contract at Fir Park at the end of the season.
A fax was sent to the Motherwell boss Mark McGhee on Thursday by John Murray, the director of the Hearts Academy.
The move came just hours after McGhee had complained that while Csaba Laszlo had publicly stated his interest in Porter, the Hearts manager had refused to confirm that interest when the two bosses met after the recent league match between the teams.
