Heart of Midlothian boss Jim Jefferies is reportedly keen on Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Adam Rooney.
Rooney, who turns 23 today, has had a breakout year with Caley scoring 19 goals in all comps and attracting interest from rival Scottish Premier League clubs.
And now that interest has spread to Hearts with Jefferies adding him to a summer hit-list according to reports.
However, if the former Stoke City man remains in Scotland, whichever club purchases him will have to pay a development fee which is something that Hearts may not be able to afford.
Caley boss Terry Butcher is well aware of Rooney's talent and has urged his board to offer him a lucrative contract extension to ward off interested clubs.
