Heart of Midlothian may not be around for too much longer if supporters do not invest in the cash-strapped club.
That is the message from director Sergejus Fedotovas who has sent an open letter to Jambos fans in order to get things back on track at Tynecastle otherwise the club may be dead as early as next week.
Hearts need around £1.80million to alleviate the possibility of becoming extinct and hope that the maroon side of Edinburgh digs in to avoid this potential disaster.
"Without the support of fans there is, as we issue this note, a real risk that Heart of Midlothian Football Club could possibly play its last game next Saturday, November 17 against St Mirren," read the letter.
"This isn't a bluff, this isn't scaremongering, this is reality.
"Without your help now, we could be entering the final days of the club's existence. There are limited options for the board of directors to take to avoid the catastrophic consequences that a funding shortfall would mean for the club.
"In a footballing sense alone Hearts will suffer an immediate 17-point penalty. This would just be the start of a painful process that could lead to far more damaging actions that threaten the very existence of the club."
Hearts are believed to owe owner Vladimir Romanov's investment company, UBIG, a sum of around £22m and it has also become apparent that the HMRC are chasing an unpaid £450,000 bill with a tax tribunal additionally claiming £1.75m.
