Hearts coach Stephen Frail is hopeful of keeping Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston beyond the January transfer window.

"I hope no key players will be sold," he said. "I think we're capable of mounting a challenge if we get consistency of results.

"We're in the process of getting targets. In any squad, we have ideas where we want to strengthen. We've got players playing at a level where we make sure we are bringing in players who will enhance the squad.

"I don't get to see that side, if there is interest from other clubs. We've got a month and a bit, but we need to be ready for players going out and maybe some coming in."
