Hearts boss McGlynn: Skacel return unlikely

Heart of Midlothian manager John McGlynn insists he is none the wiser regarding the potential return of Rudi Skacel.

The 33-year old Czech midfielder was set for a third Hearts spell when director Sergei Fedotovas suggested there could be good news regarding his Tynecastle comeback but McGlynn has calmed that talk which was also cooled by Skacel himself, posting that he 'may not have good news' on Twitter.

"I'd normally say when we sign someone that I'll be the first to tell you, but do any of you guys want to tell me?," said McGlynn regarding Skacel who left the Jambos at the end of last season.

"I don't follow Twitter or Facebook but I know Rudi's been saying certain things. It's at a higher level than where I am.

"I've been wondering about Sergei's comments as well. I thought to myself 'If it's not Rudi, who am I getting?'

"When you look at what he did last season - scoring 18 goals - there's no doubt he'd be a good asset and very welcome. I love Rudi. He is a fans' favourite but I don't want to get carried away because I wouldn't want it to be a big letdown if he's not here.

"I'm dealing with the players I have. I'm focused on that. I can't do anything with players I don't have."
