Hearts boss Locke wants Everton, Rangers great Weir

Heart of Midlothian manager Gary Locke is eager for David Weir to join him in Edinburgh.

The Jambos boss played alongside the former Scotland star at Tynecastle and is keen for him to leave his role at Everton and become his right hand man according to SunSport.

Edgaras Jankauskas departed his role as Locke's number two earlier this week and the Hearts gaffer will open the door to ex-Falkirk and Rangers great Weir who has been working with the Toffees academy and reserve teams since February 2012.
