Healy: Northern Ireland contingent convinced me about Fulham

David Healy admits the Northern Ireland contingent at Fulham convinced him about moving to Craven Cottage.

The former Leeds striker told the Belfast Telegraph: "Kamara scored over 20 goals for West Brom last season and there are other strikers like Brian McBride, Collins John and Heidur Helgusson at the club.

"I won't walk straight into the team, but hopefully I can score the goals that will keep me in there.

"Lawrie has given me this opportunity and now it is up to me to show that he is right to have faith in me and deliver for him.

"The chance to work under Lawrie and his coaches Dave Beasant and Terry Gibson again, plus playing alongside Aaron Hughes, Steve Davis and Chris Baird was attractive to me and I can't wait to start work properly on Monday morning."
