Healy confident that with fans support Rangers will be fine

Rangers forward David Healy is supremely confident that the embattled club will be fine if everyone sticks together.

The reigning Scottish champions, who lost to Kilmarnock on the weekend, fell into administration last week as their poor financial situation takes hold but the former Leeds United, Fulham and Sunderland man suggests that the Ibrox club will get through the turmoil if the players, staff and especially the loyal supporters remain united.

"We didn't get the result we wanted, but what was shown was that everyone is united," he said.

"One thing we will do is stick together because of the Rangers family, and the gaffer's words, 'we don't do walking away', were perfect, really, given the circumstances.

"The fans love that and it's all about staying strong in testing times.

"We've all got families and livelihoods, but we'll get through it I'm sure, especially with our fans. They are magnificent.

"It's no secret I grew up supporting the club, so I know all about their passion. I am no different, it's a special club.

"The fans turned up at the weekend as they always do and got behind the club and the players, although we didn't get the result we wanted.

"That was hugely disappointing, but it was still great to see there are so many Rangers fans ready to support the club."
