Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku can guide Belgium’s ‘Golden Generation’ to top spot - Mills

Danny Mills believes Belgium's Premier League contingent will have a big say in how the team performs at Euro2016.

Former England, Leeds United and Manchester City full-back Mills can see the likes of Chelsea's Eden Hazard, City's Kevin De Bruyne, Tottenham's Mousa Dembele and Everton's Romelu Lukaku can lead the Belgian 'Golden Generation' to first place in the difficult Group E in France this summer.

"We've been expecting a lot from Belgium for a few years now and if they're not careful their golden generation could pass them by without challenging for titles," he told the Daily Mirror.

"With Hazard, De Bruyne, Dembele and Lukaku it's in attack where the Belgians are truly blessed and I predict they'll perform better than they did at the World Cup two years ago.

"I'm backing Belgium to claim top spot with Italy hot on their heels.

"The points might be quite evenly shared though and a result for the Republic in their first game against Sweden could be enough to take them through."

Belgium's opening match takes place against the Italians in Lyon on June 13.
