Chelsea ace Eden Hazard admits the players were expecting Michy Batshuayi to start against Bournemouth yesterday.

With Diego Costa suspended, Blues boss Antonio Conte left Batshuayi on the bench and played Hazard at striker.

The Belgian revealed to SFR Sport: "During the week, I thought Michy was going to play there as Diego was suspended.

"But the coach chose me so I tried to do the maximum.

"I had played a bit there last season, and a few minutes this year, so I know a little about this position."
