Hazard: Chelsea players must accept blame for Di Matteo demise

Eden Hazard says he's to blame for Roberto di Matteo's sacking at Chelsea.

Tonight he wants to banish his guilt over RDM's axing by putting the Blues on the way to Wembley in their Capital One Cup semi-final first leg against Swansea at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard said: "I feel responsible for Roberto being given the sack.

"He was the manager who brought me to the club and that creates a bond between you. In any case, it is always the players who are to blame when a coach loses his job.

"We are the ones who are out on the pitch, not him.

"Rafa Benitez is a manager who talks a lot with everybody. He doesn't say much to me, as his French is a bit limited, but we can understand each other.

"We expect to play in a more attacking style now, even though we produced some great performances under Roberto, like our 4-2 win at Tottenham."
