Hazard again showed what he is capable of for Chelsea - Hiddink

Guus Hiddink suggests winger Eden Hazard managed to again show what he is capable of against Tottenham on Monday night.

Hazard went missing for the majority of the current campaign but the Belgian international has been hitting top form recently and followed up his brace against Bournemouth on the weekend with a fantastic strike against Tottenham to end Spurs' title aspirations.

Hiddink has been impressed with Hazard's performances over the past few weeks and has stated that the fantastic strike against Tottenham is a testament to what the winger is capable of when on top form.

The Dutch manager said: "Eden has had a difficult season, we can't neglect that fact, he's had a lot of injuries.

"There's been a lot of frustration and it's good to see him back. He played 90 minutes at Bournemouth, a less intense game.

"My plan was to play him there for an hour and then he could be of use in this game. This game was more intense so it was wiser to bring him on later and have him at full speed in the second half.

"He did very well and we saw, as we have before, what he's capable of."
