Real Madrid have reportedly won the race for highly-rated Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus.
Reports this week suggested that Manchester City were on the edge of securing the 19-year-old forward from Palmeiras but a spanner has now been thrown in the works.
Italian website Calcio News 24 is reporting that Jesus has signed a pre-contract agreement with Spanish giants Real which will see him officially join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the January transfer window or even next summer.
While many media outlets around the world have indicated that Jesus was set to link up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium, recent reports indicate that Zinedine Zidane has edged the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss.
It is understood that Jesus will cost Madrid around £25million.
Whether the news out of Italy is correct is another thing but the speculation regarding the Brazil U23 ace is now circling in a frenzied manner.
