Hats off to official NASL cap partner

New Era has become the official cap partner to the North American Soccer League (NASL). The global lifestyle brand, founded in 1920, has signed a licensing agreement with the NASL to supply the official team caps for nine clubs for the 2015 season, which commences this weekend.

New Era is the current official on-field cap partner for Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Football League (NFL), while the company also maintains licensing agreements with the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Basketball Association (NBA).

NASL commissioner Bill Peterson said: "Working with New Era represents more than just a quality cap deal for our fans - it's the NASL's first major licensing agreement.

"It shows that more and more companies are seeing the value in partnering with us, and this is just the beginning of our league building out its commercial capabilities.

"New Era is a recognised leader in headwear, and their creative designs are unmatched. We think our fans will find their products to be very cool."

New Era football and core sports category director Stuart Domanowski added: "The culture of New Era blends nicely with the game of soccer, where style is celebrated and function is rewarded.

"The future for the game in the US is bright, and our partnership helps to strengthen the growth of the game."
