Hatem Ben Arfa is edging closer to the exit door at Newcastle United.

Newcastle are expected to announce the signing of Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella tomorrow.

The Journal says he fills a similar role to Ben Arfa and the pair are unlikely to be fielded together by manager Alan Pardew.

And in a sobering development, Ben Arfa has been exiled to training with the under-21s for preseason.
