Diego Forlan has pledged his commitment to Atletico Madrid after thumping home a hat-trick in last night's 4-1 defeat of Athletic Bilbao.

The Uruguay international has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City, but says: "We'll have to see what happens. I am very happy here, I've always said this.

"And also it remains to be seen whether there is anything true because last year they said the same thing and there were no bids."

Forlan is now two goals clear in the race for the Spanish Golden Boot.
