Wolfsburg midfielder Makoto Hasebe scored his first goal for the season on the weekend.
The Japan international netted in the 48th minute of Wolfsburg's 4-2 Bundesliga win over Hannover 96 in his just his second league start this season.
The reign gin Bundesliga champions atoned for their German Cup exit midweek to trounce their opponents at the Volkswagen Arena.
Hasebe gave credit to the pass that brought about his goal and said he was keen on maintaining a good performance level for his teammates.
"It was a great ball in and it was just a case of me connecting with it," Hasebe said of his goal.
"I want to keep playing well and earn the trust of the team."
