Makoto Hasebe is set to recommence full training with FC Nurnberg next week.

The 30-year old Japanese midfielder has been sidelined since late December after undergoing surgery on a meniscus injury but told BILD that he is ready to resume duties back in Nuremberg.

"I have no more pain," the Blue Samurai skipper said.

"I can increase the workload from day to day. My goal is to train again next week with the team."

Der Club, who travel to eighth-placed Augsburg this weekend, will be hoping that Hasebe returns as soon as possible as they look to move out of the Bundesliga's bottom three.
