Timisoara defender McKain agreed terms over a Bosman deal with Phoenix last week and fellow Australia international Porter is set to join the A-League club in a similar deal.

Like McKain, Porter is at the peak of his career and has chosen to join Phoenix ahead of more lucrative offers to remain in Europe.

Meanwhile, Sydney FC are expected to name a raft of signings this week with John Aloisi (Central Coast Mariners), Simon Colosimo (Perth Glory), Stuart Musialik and Mark Bridge (Newcastle Jets) all to be confirmed.
