Hartlepool United have snapped up Blackburn Rovers defender Eddie Nolan on a month's loan.

"He's an up and coming player who is very promising for his age," manager Danny Wilson told the club website.

"I am delighted that Blackburn have allowed him to come here and I would like to thank Mark Hughes and Glyn Hodges for their help in this.

"Hopefully he'll be a good acquisition for us because he's a quality player and I'm keen to work with him."
