Portsmouth caretaker boss Paul Hart is still guiding the club's academy programme.
And the former Nottingham Forest manager sees good progress at Pompey: "We are getting there.
"I don't normally shout too loudly about the kids but there are one or two coming through. We have made massive strides over the past two years.
"Before that, this club had not done very much with the youth development programme, apart from at a very basic level, but we are attracting young players up against Arsenal and Chelsea and we are getting quality players in now.
"Right through all of the age groups now, you can see the difference."
