Hart relishing challenge to remain Man City and England no.1

Joe Hart has stated that he is enjoying the challenge of striving to remain the number one goalkeeper for both Manchester City and the England national team.

Hart is considered as one of the finest goalkeepers in world football and the 28-year-old is the undisputed number one for City and the Three Lions.

That said though, Hart cannot afford to get complacent as the likes of Willy Caballero and Jack Butland are intent on usurping him as the starter for in both teams.

Hart is well aware of the fact that he faces competition for his place at City and the Three Lions national team, and has stated that he is looking to improve everyday in order to remain as the main man for both club and country.

Hart said: "I just want to perform. I'm 28 now and I've plenty of experience behind me. I want to kick on now. I don't want to settle for what I've done. I want to kick on, keep improving for all the teams I play for.

"I want to be playing every game. I want to make it difficult for the manager to leave me out of any game. I appreciate it's a squad. Willy does fantastic around this place and with England we have some good keepers. It's tough to stay as the number one, but I enjoy it.

"We've had plenty of games when I've almost not touched the ball and I've walked off with the clean sheet. I played my part on Saturday - I appreciate that and we've got to come together as a team."
