Hart determined to convince Man City to drop keeper signing plans

Joe Hart is determined to show Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson that he doesn't need to buy a new goalkeeper in January.

Hart admitted: "I signed a year ago and got one game - but I don't really count that because it was only because first choice keeper Nicky Weaver was injured.

"This year there were no injuries and I got the nod. It meant a lot. I was so pleased and long may it continue.

"I've faith in my ability - but with the money flying around they could go out and spend up to £20million on any player they wanted, including a goalkeeper. Regardless of the money I want to be No 1."
