Hart calls for Man City improvement after great escape

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart insists there is nowhere to hide for the English champions.

City kicked off their Champions League campaign by losing 3-2 at Real Madrid a fortnight ago before managing to draw 1-1 with Borussia Dortmund last night courtesy of a late Mario Balotelli penalty.

However, the real saviour was Hart who pulled off a string of world-class saves to help City gain their first point of the group stage and he now wants a massive improvement if the Premier League title-holders want to reach the knockout phase of Europe's premier club competition.

"I don't know if it is a learning curve - we are in with the big boys now, there is no place to hide," he said.

"There is no point learning if you are not going to win. We need one big game against Ajax next.

"We got a point against one our rivals to qualify from the group and maybe we shouldn't have.

"We've not played great and they have played well and we've come out with a point, hopefully we can move forward with that."
