Paul Hart says the turmoil of their preseason has taken it's toll on Portsmouth.

The Blues manager said: "We came back in pre-season with 14 players and played Guimaraes and Benfica with eight kids.

"We then had to come back and play Rangers before the season started. Then there were kids on the bench for the first few games. Then we had to do our signings 48 hours before the window closed.

"You draw your own conclusions if it's tough or not. But we have a decent set of lads and we concentrate on the positives. A lot of them are seasoned professionals. When they make a mistake they know they have done it.

"But there are a lot of good things to concentrate on. They are equally keen to put this record straight.

"Keeping the spirits right, concentrating on eradicating the mistakes and what we are doing right is what I've been doing."
