Hart admits Man City were not good enough in Moscow

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart admits he and his teammates did not perform well enough on Tuesday night.

The English title-holders were held to a 2-2 draw by CSKA Moscow at the Khimkia Arena in Group E of the Champions League after leading by two goals at half-time.

It was certainly a match of two halves with the icy, windy conditions in Russia having an impact on the contest but Hart was not using that as an excuse for City's poor second-half showing.

"It was a difficult game - we played well in the first half but in the second half were too open, but it was a fair result," he said.

"It was really cold in the first half, when having the wind in your face made a big change, but the second half was fine.

"They are not excuses, it was the same for both teams - unfortunately we didn't play well enough."

The draw leaves City with two points from three matches, two behind second-placed AS Roma, but Hart is confident of qualifying alongside runaway group leaders Bayern Munich.

"It's going to be difficult but we are capable of qualifying from this group," the England international added.

"We have a home game against Moscow now and have to focus on that first and let the other two do what they need to do."
