Tottenham striker Harry Kane is grateful to manager Tim Sherwood for backing him this season.
The young striker was going nowhere except somewhere else on loan when Sherwood became the latest Spurs manager last December.
"He gave me a chance here," Kane told the Sunday Express. "When he was going to play me he let me know a few days before and hopefully I have been able to repay the faith he showed in me with the goals I have scored.
"Tim knew what I could do, I have known him for a while and he has seen me score goals before. He just told me to play my game, be confident and express myself."
