Steve Harper could be on his way from Newcastle United.

The Sun says Toon chief Dennis Wise has blocked Tim Krul from moving away on-loan this season as he wants the young Dutchman to challenge Shay Given for the No1 spot.

And that could mean the end for the Toon's long-serving stopper Harper.

He is in his 16th season at St James' Park but his deal is up in the summer and may not be renewed.
