Jamie Harnwell looks likely to sign a new contract with the Perth Glory.
The veteran centre-half-turned-striker has returned to form in recent weeks, culminating in a brace in the Glory's 4-0 thumping of the Newcastle Jets on Boxing Day and coach Dave Mitchell has indicated that a new deal is likely for the 36-year old.
''Well if I'm certainly going to be here, for sure [I will re-sign him],'' Mitchell said. ''He's got a nous for scoring up front. I think highly of him and he knows that. Certainly the character of the guy always stands up.
''I know there's a club that's quite interested in him,'' Mitchell added. ''If he can't break into the side and wants to leave, it might be beneficial. But we haven't discussed it, it hasn't been part of my thinking.''
