Newcastle United midfielder Haris Vuckic was delighted to be part of victory over Motherwell.

Vuckic opened the scoring in the 4-2 win for the Magpies.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I am very happy.

"After nine months working hard and in the shadows, the gaffer gave me a chance. I have worked really hard in training. On the pitch, we played well and created a lot of chances.

"It was important we won and the goal was a bonus for me.

"Everything is good - I am happy!"
