Owen Hargreaves should be ready for selection in about two weeks says Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
The former Manchester United midfielder joined City as a free agent late last month but is not yet match-fit although Mancini says he is not too far away to play an important role.
"He had a big problem in the last two years but he can recover very well and be a very important player for us," the Italian said.
"I think he can play in maybe two or three weeks and he can always play.
"He is 30 years old, he is young and he was very unlucky.
"If he can recover very well it will not be a problem.
"We needed a midfielder and we thought this could be good for us. Hargreaves was a fantastic player.
"He is fit. He trained with us this week and he worked last week."
