Hargreaves ready says Man City's Mancini

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini feels that summer signing Owen Hargreaves is ready for Premier League action.

The former Manchester United midfielder has made one appearance for City - when he scored a superb goal in the Carling Cup against Birmingham City - and he could be set to play some part at home to Aston Villa this weekend.

"Hargreaves is ready to play. Maybe not one (full) game but he is ready," said the Italian.

"We don't have any players injured but we have four or five players very tired.

"For Aston Villa we will put off some players that are more tired, they will probably stay at home.

"It is important to have a team of players who are ready to fight in every moment."
