Former Manchester United star Owen Hargreaves believes the Red Devils should seriously consider forking out £47million on Benfica starlet Renato Sanches.
The 18-year-old has been touted as one of the most exciting prospects in European football, with the Portuguese club understood to be considering offers from a host of suitors including United.
"I'm not sure 60m euros is a gamble," Hargreaves told BT Sport.
"The release clause is ridiculous but he's gonna be a super player no question.
"18-year-old, only played fifteen games so far but he's got a terrific future ahead of him.
"He's more of a box-to-box midfielder. Really good passer of the ball. Great striker of the ball from distance."
Sanches played a full 90 minutes as Benfica drew first blood with a 1-0 win over Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Champions League Round of 16 on Tuesday night.
