Harewood loan explained by Blackpool boss Holloway

Marlon Harewood has moved from Blackpool to English Championship outfit Barnsley on loan but Seasiders boss Ian Holloway now finds himself a striker short at Bloomfield Road after DJ Campbell's red card against Wolves at the weekend. Harewood has moved to Oakwell in order to play first-team football but the deal is now looking the wrong call with the dismissal of Campbell

Harewood, who made his Barnsley debut against Norwich on Saturday, cannot be recalled until he has spent 28 days at Oakwell, but Holloway is not panicking.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "He (Harewood) and Rob both felt they needed football to get fit because of a lack of playing time over the last year or so.

"Marlon in the reserves isn't the same animal as Marlon in the first team, so I have got him some games at Barnsley and we'll look at it in 28 days."
