Marlon Harewood was delighted with his goal for Aston Villa against Litex Lovech last night.
He told AVTV: "It was all about progress. We felt good after the win at the weekend and it was nice to have another game come around so soon afterwards.
"We did what we needed to get through to the group stages and it was nice for me to get a goal. That should give me a boost of confidence. Hopefully, I can score some more goals to help the boys out.
"The lads have been doing great so if the gaffer picks you, you have to get out there and do your stuff. You get a chance and then another game generally comes along pretty quickly after so you're desperate to be involved in that one too. You have to get out there and try and impress.
"The fans were signing 'Feed the Hare'. I love that chant. The fans lift all the lads throughout each game. When you are out on the pitch and you hear them singing, it sounds fantastic.
"It is a great feeling to hear them chanting their name. You want to get out there and do your best for them."
