Marlon Harewood was delighted to hit his first goal at home for Aston Villa in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.

The striker told Villa's website: "Saturday's win was vital and the overall performance was really impressive. We needed three points and an improved display - we got both of them.

"I was delighted to play my part and to score my first Villa Park goal since signing last summer was a great moment. It was all the more special because it was in front of the Holte End. The fans have been great with me all season and I just want to score as many goals as possible to keep them happy.

"I've said all along that I want to play my part and if that means I come off the bench, so be it. It's about what we do as a squad. Now we've got to build on the win against Bolton and we go into the last five games of the season with renewed confidence."
